The House of Sappho is the community of the house — known publicly under the name délices/malices: a space for women who love women, in all the diversity of feminine identities. Here we gather, women only by choice, to create, to play, to celebrate, to form bonds — and to ask together a joyful question: what invents itself when women truly meet?
This questioning means to be positive and creative: not one identity raised against another, but a fertile enquiry into the feminine — approached as a living question, never as a fixed definition. A laboratory of the sensible where each woman can set down her armour and ask, in full vulnerability: what is it, for me, to be a woman? What is it to enter into connection with another woman?
What is lived here: days of initiation into conscious tenderness, workshops on consent, dances and celebrations, cocoon evenings, heart-to-heart speaking circles — bodily, relational and creative practices grounded in mindfulness, unfolded in venues chosen with care, where beauty is not a décor but an invitation to inhabit the world otherwise.
Every event opens in a circle: a time to arrive, to set down one's intentions and one's limits for the day. The facilitators — trained in group work and in somatic approaches — hold the space, mark its thresholds, and watch over the integrity of the experience. Consent is the common language: every proposal is explained, always gradual, and each woman remains at every moment the sole authority over what she lives.
A living laboratory today — more than two hundred participants since the summer of 2025, between Paris and Marseille — the House of Sappho is intended to become a place in its own right: a refuge that pushes back isolation and grows a culture — made of tenderness, humour, care and celebration.
