The School of Freedom is the learning space of the house. One question holds it, and it is the oldest of all: what is it to be human? The School turns that question into a practice — a pedagogy of the Mystery: learning to stand within it, to inhabit opacity, the unknown, the unfinished, in the patience of a search without end.
The name says the essential, provided it is heard rightly. Freedom is a search, a movement, to be taken up again each morning. The School does not set you free: it makes room. Like the Khôra, it makes room for that work which no one can do in another's place. What is accompanied here is a quest you carry out yourself — from the path, never from the arrival.
The School means to be integral, in the most demanding sense: no tradition exhausts the question, none deserves to be held negligible. Asian wisdoms, Greek philosophies, Mediterranean contemplations are studied in a secular and rigorous approach — neither syncretic nor hierarchical: a conversation, in which one learns to distinguish what one knows from what one believes, and to think for oneself.
Regular gatherings, mostly online: teachings, shared meditations, question-and-answer sessions. A patient training of attention — settling the mind, returning to the present, loosening the grip of automatism.
Reading and study circles: crossing the great texts together, discussing them freely, testing them against one's own experience.
To go further: structured paths and times of immersion, where practice and study answer one another over the long term.
Nothing in us is a fate we must accept: the mind can be cultivated, and one can begin, today, to train one's own.
