Theia Mania is the creative studio of the house: texts, images, videos, performances, hybrid formats. Its name comes from Plato — the "divine madness", the inspiration that seizes the artist.
Creation, here, is a reception. The artist does not manufacture: the artist makes room, and welcomes what asks to take form. What the house lives in its spaces — presence, encounter, emotion passed through — Theia Mania sets down in a work: a text, an image, a gesture, a scene — so that another may receive it.
It is also the public voice of the house: a content platform, largely digital, through which its philosophy and its spaces meet their audience. Often the first door by which the house is discovered — the work calling you to come and live what it gives you to feel.
The shiver before a work that rings true is the instant when, for the length of a tremor, separation is forgotten — when what looks and what is looked at recognise one another. It is this shock of recognition that art, here, is after: to give to feel rather than to explain.
What cannot be said is shown; what cannot be explained is made to be felt.
